Yesterday I took a trip to East London in the name of all things coffee... and chocolate... and booze.
The London Coffee Festival is a celebration of London's bustling and vibrant coffee scene. Industry experts and coffee connoisseurs gathered for an event filled with demonstrations, tastings, competitions and other coffee-themed fun. Whether you're a lover of latte art, a flat-white fanatic or partial to an espresso martini (or five) there was something there for all of us caffeine addicts.
It didn't stop at coffee though. There was music, art, clothes, food, tea, the list goes on. It was jam-packed full of passionate and creative people running really great independent businesses. I even saw a guy getting his hair done in the middle of one of the showrooms. Pretty cray.
After spending all afternoon at the festival my friends and I headed to Camden for a few drinks and some dinner. Overall it was a really fun day. I can definitely recommend the festival if you're a coffee fan, even if you don't know that much about it. It's just something a bit different to do on a Saturday afternoon!
Have any of you been to the London Coffee Festival, or something similar? I'd love recommendations for other cool things to do this summer!
